my own thing

So,

I played original music exclusively until 2009. From that point, I ventured out as a sideman for hire. Since then I’ve played in blues, country, jazz, rnb, gospel, hard rock, classic rock, roots rock, americana, pop, funk, soul groups and everything in between… with hundreds of musicians ranging from the unheard of to some of the most successful and recognizable names in the biz. During these last 7 years, I’ve honed my craft of playing guitar, singing, writing, producing, marketing, engineering, and learning how to do good business. I’ve made some great friends who have become my musical family, and also found support for my own voice from fans, and from my heroes.

I’ve always loved being on a team, and playing my position. Playing rhythm, lead, playing out front, hanging out in the back, being a leader or supporter, being restrained and tasty or wild and raucous… I love it all. But I’ve come to a point where I need to get out from other people’s names and stand on my own feet, following my own muse.

I have an idea, and I’m going to follow the line of it til its tracks disappear into the light of the next world. That’s the way I was made.
